The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll whisper "GTFO. I'm playing Halo."

So, Halo: Reach comes out in a few hours. Exciting! I, of course, have to wait until 8 in the morning when Gamestop opens, because they're too cheap to pay people for a midnight launch. Oh well. I'll just leave home at like 7 in the morning, and beat the lines, and carry my huge Legendary Edition box 45 minutes across town.
Oh, wait, rrriiiggghhhttt...
But, sorry about lacking updates.
Recently, in the news, I saw an article that made me realize something.
Everyone in this world we call home, has something wrong with them.
Now, I don't know what yours is, but I know what mine is, and that is that I'm a terrible person. I joke about other people, and serious issues (Death, Pedophilia, Homosexuals, etc.) and I judge people, based on what they are physically. I don't look into who they are before deciding what I think of them.

That is bad.

For all of us. Let's all try to be a little more accepting, and less of a-holes to the world.
Be human.

This is how we show we're.... B... O... R... E... D!

The covers of Halo: Combat Evolved, the Halo 2...Image via Wikipedia
So I just got back from my family reunion last night. It was exhausting, to say the least, and it was difficult being away from Internet access for two who days. I missed my updates :'(
Anyhow, Summer is the worst time of year for gamers, who have no trouble keeping up to their game release updates, like me. I have nothing to play, or do. Except (shudder) work. My next big release is September 14th, with that one game I never shut up about anymore. Maybe I should find my Halo: Combat Evolved serial number and get back into Halo: Custom Edition on PC, because Cold Snap is awesome, and it'll help save me from entire boredom from now until Reach Falls.
Also, those people on Facebook that change their profile picture every other day, or have some random anime person character as it, they bother me, so much, because really, find one good picture, and STAY WITH IT.
Oh, the new Castlevania game on the XBLA looks pretty alright, and I may go and get some points to give it a shot, but I dunno if it's worth the 1200 points if none of my friends play either. I'll have to convince a few to download it with me.
After all that, I have nothing really else to talk about, so I think I'm going to stare at my facebook home page for a few hours.

That's what I said.

HHHAAALLLOOO!!!

So I found out about the Halo Reach Special Edition Xbox console, and I kinda want it, but I don't want to sink the money into it.
I'd be cool, especially since I'm getting the Legendary edition of Reach, so I'd have the collector's set, more or less, but... I probably won't get it. My console is still perfectly fine, but whatever.
Everything is the same so far, I slept pretty much all day when I wasn't working, so I can't sleep now, which kinda sucks.
Oh, no Quote in the Doobly-doo.

So you thought you might be a ghost!

So I'm listening to Coldplay again.
Especially The Scientist and 42. But come one. Great songs.

You thought you might be a ghost.
You thought you might be a ghost.
You didn't get to heaven but you made it close.
You didn't get to heaven but you made it close.

Yeah. That's awesome stuff there.
Considering writing a story based on that song, I have a basic idea, but nothing solid yet.
Also had an idea for a movie, sent the idea to my cousin, and we may start developing it. To stop people from  stealing my awesome idea. But I will say if we do make it, it will revolutionize the Horror/Thriller genre.
That's all you're getting out of me.
But other than that, I don't have much of anything. I'm playing Dragon Age: Origins again, just to catch up on Achievements, really. I'm almost done them all. Glee!
Alan Wake has been put aside for now. Nightmare is killing me on the inside, especially since it's impossible to find a good walkthrough for manuscript page locations.
The closest I've found is Achievement Hunters 100% walkthrough, but that doesn't help since the locations are hard to describe.
Whoa... Looking up one link in the Zemanta Assistant, and I got drug away on a YouTube fantasy ride for a good 20 minutes. Need to stop opening Youtube...
But that's all for tonight. Busy day tomorrow.
That's what I said.

HEY! LOOK! LISTEN!

My newest hobby is Trolling on Omegle. My personal favorite is only saying the three words in the title, credited to Navi from Ocarina of Time.
Another one is posing as a 48 year-old mother, for the lonely 16-year old boys out there.
They leave pretty quickly after I answer "asl?"
Another one is saying "YOU AIN'T GOT NO PANCAKE MIX!" To everything they say.
That makes them stop and think.
But lately, nothing good has come out for Xbox, so I have nothing to do but mindless trolling.
Alas...
That's what I said.

To the West!

So today, I managed to... -cough cough- "borrow" -cough cough- Oregon Trail for the iPod/iPhone from my mother. When I can take a 3 day rest, and still be ahead of time, I think I'm doing pretty dang good.
Anyhow, it's been update since the last time I played it, and i's all minigame based vs. random event based. I haven't decided if that's good or bad yet.
I've also spent a good part of my day pushing through Nightmare on Alan Wake. Collecting everything I've missed, and attempting to finish all my achievements. Another day past, without a single drop of fizzy drinks. I'm going to lose my mind...
But! Screw you guys! I just got my Alan Wake DLC code! So bugger off! I got some Alan Wake to play!

Maybe we should go now. Right now. NOW.

Just thought I'd let you know, if you hadn't figured it out yourself (Ayu) that beneath all my posts are quotes, that will no longer be the case, as I have a box at the bottom of the page (probably will be moved to the side bar later) that I will update from time-to-time with quotes I find entertaining. Maybe if I get my HTML skills up to par, I can set it up to rotate randomly through said Quotes. But at this point, I'm just going to save them in a word document, and keep them aside and change them when I feel like it. So for now, that quote is from Dragon Age: Origins, between a lonely Templar Knight, the main Character, and Morrigan.
Enjoy!
That's what I said.

Ain't no Rest for the Wicked

So, around 8:30 this morning, I wake up in a panic. I had 30 minutes to get showered, dressed, and walk to work.
It takes 20 minutes to walk there.
So in my rush, I forget my belt, and was constantly pulling my jeans up so they wouldn't fall down and embarrass me to no ends.
As I walk in the staff room through the side entrance, I notice theirs quite a few people back their already, but I ignore that, and look at the daily schedule, I can't find what my position for the day is, so I check the weekly schedule and realize that I'm not scheduled to work for another 6 hours.
So I walked home, and played Super Metroid in my bitterness.
Still a classic game, and I love it dearly. Never beaten it though...
Back to usual business though.
So I've been out of Dr. Pepper for almost a week now. I'm flipping out at tiny details without my normal caffeine intake, and at least Coke and Pepsi products are on cheap at work (3 12-packs for $9.99) so I need to restock, and convince my parents to let me drive home with 6 cases of Caffeinated drinks in the back seat.
This may not fly...
Also, I have a $10 Rogers card that is useless, until I locate a SIN card for my iPhone. Today has been GRRRREAT! [/sarcasm]
ALAN WAKE DLC, WEDNESDAY. Come on guys, epic stuff here.
Also, Halo Reach is ever closer upon us. I have $80-some to pay off still, but I'll have it paid off by September (probably.)
Starcraft II comes out tomorrow, not that I care.
I need a Xbox points card, if anyone is feeling generous... donations? Please?
Otherwise, I need Caffeine, but that's my own issue, you good for nothing blog-reading slime bag.

That's what I said.

"Right! Stop that! It's SILLY. Very SILLY indeed! Started off as a nice little idea about old ladies attacking young men, but now it's just got SILLY! His hair's too long for a vicar, too, and you can tell those are not proper keep-left signs! CLEAR OUT, THE LOT OF YOU!"

The Magical Pixie Fairies are only a figment of my imagination. But they sure do taste good.

So, I've been bored lately. Not surprising, I know.
This is how my weeks are, more or less:
Monday: Work a 9-4 shift at work, go home, and sleep.
Tuesday: Work a 9-4 shift at work, go home, play some video games, go to youth, and sleep.
Wednesday: Sleep in until noon, babysit the siblings, play video games, and sleep.
Thursday: See Wednesday
Friday: Work whatever random shift I happen to work that day, play video games, and sleep.
Saturday: Work a 7-3:30 shift at work. (That's 7 AM for you folks) go home, try to organize something to hang out with friends, sleep.
Sunday: Wake up, go to church, talk to Braeden and Brenden for a while after church, go home, facebook, webcomics, food, and SLEEP.

My life sucks.

BAN HAMMA!

Farmville Corn MazeImage by bmooneyatwork via Flickr
So, a bit of an absence, because someone at Google decided to BAN HAMMER me. Yes, I'm just as impressed, at least I got everything back.
So, on top of that, I have something to admit. I, Nick Woodruff, was a recovering Zynga Games addict, but I've fallen back into the traps. First it was Cafe World, then Frontierville, and now, it's back to the bane of good gaming, Farmville.
At least I have my bakery.
Also, I finally put everything else aside, and finished Dragon Age: Origins, and all the expansions to date. Still working on 100% and getting all the achievements, but that'll come after Alan Wake DLC, and Borderlands.
Oh yes, I bought Borderlands today, and now I need to start playing that little gem, until Alan Wake DLC appears. I decided to start with a Soldier, seeing as I like Shotguns. Yes, Shotguns, I need to transfer my good shotgun from my testing account though, because it's ridiculously good.
Finally getting my music library repaired after my last... eh... loss.
Also, Ayu, stop ignoring me for movies, it's starting to hurt my feelings :'(

Peace.

A Relationship like my Job

The title has absolutely NOTHING to do with what I'm about to talk about.
So, to start off I bought myself a mini fridge for my room, to store my snacks and drinks in, y'know? I have Milk and Dr. Pepper in there :)
I also beat Splinter Cell: Conviction today, after getting it just after release, pre-ordered the Legendary Edition of Halo: Reach, and need something new to play over the summer. Considering Singularity, but probably won't go for it.
I have Final Fantasy 13 to play still, but I dunno, I played through it with my friend, and I honestly think one play through is enough to last a lifetime.
Now to ramble about Halo: Reach for a while.
I like the idea to bring Firefight back from the dead, because it SUCKED in ODST. The excluded to friends rather than partying you up with random strangers who are at your skill level would've made it epic, but here's hoping they don't bugger it up again.
Also, the campaign looks pretty awesome, and from what I played in the Beta, I'm excited for what's to come  upon release. Slowly paying off my $150+ total on it before it's released though, and I need to save up for an air-tight glass box to store the Nobel team statue in.
I'm addicted to Salsa Con Queso. Seriously, go and buy a jar, and a bag of Low Sodium (Not because it's Low Sodium, because you can't taste the Con Queso over the Saltiness of the regular ones) Bite-sized Tostitos, and enjoy :)
Also, 5's Solstice gum is better than expected.
That's what I said.

Regrets about Vidcon

I've been watching videos from Vidcon for the last few hours, and now I regret not going.
For those who don't know what Vidcon is, it's a great big gathering for Youtubers and their fans (With Naked Ball Pit parties @10:20pm), I could've thought about going, and gotten to meet some of my favorite Youtubers, Dan Brown, Phillip DeFranco, the guys from The Professionals, and Ray William Johnson, among others.
Also, still looking for my DVD of Gran Torino, been craving a good Clint Eastwood movie lately, and I didn't like Red Dead: Redemption, so I traded it in, and Red Dead was a lot like Clint Eastwood, even if on the odd occasion. Otherwise, I have nothing to say.
That's what I said.

The Movies, in all their cinematic glory!

I'm a BIG fan of movies, I watch a lot (I downloaded Phantom of the Paradise today, and want to watch that later) and I'm always looking for something new and better than the last one, which is surprisingly hard of late. Still one of the greatest classics that I've found is, The Princess Bride. Comedic, Romantic, Action, Adventurous, and everything else that makes a good movie good, plus some quirks (an Albino. No joke.)
Now, my cousin has taken an interest in the cinematic arts, and has been making some fairly interesting scenes lately. A few lightsaber battles which are fantastically done, with plans to make a short Zombie Apocalypse film shortly here, and a Short Drama later this year. Now, I've been interested in doing similar stuff, on a different side though. Voice Acting, mostly intrigues me, as well as the actual design element (Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut, Premiere, and the like) the Adobe side of the work.
But, at this point, I'm not getting down to help out with this one, so that's a bummer, would've been fun to be a Zombie in Strain.
Also, check out his Facebok Page, JPH Productions is the name. Check out some of his work, comment, and fan him, he could use the help.
Otherwise, that's all I have for you today.

That's what I said.

Customers are a symptom of a horrible horrible disease called Retail.

Now, for people who didn't know this, I work retail, yes, retail. It's not all that fun. First, you have to deal with the customers every whim, you can't leave, even 30 minutes after the store was closed, until every customer is vacated from the premises, and generally customers don't know jack. Also, they're a bunch of brainless zombies with no respect for the employees there. Okay, not ALL of them, but a good majority.
You deal with the people that don't respect you, the people who are 100% positive they know the price better than you, even though you put the sign up all of 30 seconds ago, and they're smarter than you, and you're uneducated mass working whatever shift you're needed for on that particular day.
First of all, you're completely incorrect, honestly? I probably know a lot more than the brainless gobs who act like that. Just because you can add and subtract anything with less that 3 digits in your head, doesn't make you smarter than me, considering I know (having been employed there for a few years) the precise location of the vast majority of products in the store.
Trust me, this has been tested and proven.
Today, having not worked a closing shift on a Friday in who-knows-how-long, I learned that theres a certain lady who likes coming in just before closing, filling up a cart with a large selection of groceries, and then going through the express lane rather than a regular lane, just because she wants a $1 scratch lotto.
IS IT SO HARD, especially when paying cash, TO GO THROUGH A REGULAR LANE, AND THAN GO TO THE EXPRESS LANE TO GET YOUR SINGLE $1 SCRATCH LOTTO TICKET, OR, HEAVEN FORBID, ASK THE REGULAR LANE CASHIER TO GRAB THAT LOTTO TICKET FOR YOU? Probably not.
So at about 20 minutes after shut down, we finally start doing our cashier closing, and realize, said woman, had a leaking package of meat, and left us a bloody mess AAALLLLLL over the floor to clean up.
Thanks...
Thanks a lot...
So finally, I get away, and we start heading home, I'm still a little hot headed about the incident, but otherwise, calmed down. And now, I'm going to wait for my mother to finish putting Siblings to bed, and play some Halo: Combat Evolved with her, and maybe show off the ending of Dragon Age, now that I finished it properly.

That's what I said.

"What was that for?"
"Because you have always been so kind to me, and I won't be seeing you again since I'm killing myself once we reach the honeymoon suite."
"Won't that be nice. She kissed me."

All's fair in Love, Work, and Video Games.

So it hasn't been that long since my last post, but I'm still doing basically this same thing. Testing out this Zemanta assistant thing, but I have no idea what it's doing right now. Something, at any rate, but here's a cool picture I see on it.
Well, I thought it was cool at least.
But anyhow, I found something slightly entertaining to do in recent, and that's NOT play Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. Long, drawn out tutorial, boring gameplay, and wwwaaayyy too much like an overhyped Rare version of Pokemon.
Yes, I went there.
So I went back to something fun. Something I call... HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED. The first one, but had issues when the elites popped around the corner, and raped me in every hole
EVER with Plasma Pistols overcharged.
Yeah, I know, right? So back to Dragon Age for me again, shortly at any rate.
You know what? This Zemanta tool is pretty cool, Use the link on it's name to check it out if ya want, and if I had a vlog I'd say use the Doobley-doo, like Dan Brown started...
Speaking of Dan Brown, I have no idea what his secret project is. None what-so-ever. If someone sends donates some cash to me, I'll gladly pay Jory Caron to get the details.
Otherwise, I ain't doing jack. Like I'll put forward $20 if other people will pay the remaining $80.
But, that's all I have to say for now.
Peace!

"Lieutenant Dan, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to try out my sea legs."
"But you ain't got no legs, Lieutenant Dan."
"Yes... yes, I know that. You wrote me a letter, you idiot! "

Emoticons are for the weak

So yeah, Midnight blog update. B-B-B-BALLIN'!
But anyhow, texted a friend earlier today, he decided to pick up Red Faction: Guerrilla, so we decided to play over Live together, and terrible multiplayer is rampant. Seriously, the entire pemise of the game is destruction, and the ONLY gametype that's close is called Destruction, but it's more like Juggernaut on Halo 3, with buildings instead of people dying as points. Was terrible.
Also, played Halo: Combat Evolved for a while, and some Dragon Age: Lelianna's Song, and have to say, it's enjoyable. Also tried Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise, kinda different, but in a goodish kinda way. I dunno.
Also, noticed a lot of "I DON'T DESERVE TO BE FEELING LIKE THIS, MOFO!" status on Facebook. SERIOUSLY? YOU'RE NOT KEANU REEVES. EMOTIONS WILL AFFECT YOU.
I'm tired of seeing those "Superior" people acting like friggin' morons because they stubbed their hearts toe over a High School crush. "He was the one for me! Boohoohoo!" kinda crap. Trust me, you'll have times where you will do more than stub your toe. Maybe get stabbed with a rusty spoon.
Thinking back to the First of July (Canada Day) during my "I'm sick and delusional" walk around town, I saw a pair of girls marching around my local town, doing the "OMG!" thing. I flipped out, and enjoyed EVERY. SECOND. OF. IT. Best feeling ever, smashing the emotions of pre-pubescent children who think they're the biggest thing since pre-sliced and buttered bread.
But, that's all I have for now, probably will update sometime later today (now that it's after midnight here).
Just because I can.

Peace!

Dragon Age, RISK, Halo, and Runescape

Yeah, so I picked up the new Dragon Age: Origins DLC today, haven't played it yet, but I'm planning on it soon. As soon as my dad stops hounding me about my License. Also picked up RISK: Factions on the 360 and the Games-on-Demand version of Halo: Combat Evolved (I'm a classic gamer, I will admit) and I can't wait to pick up and play all these titles. Also, I started playing Runescape again a while back, just for Nostalgia, but now I'm hooked. Started botting it, and all that kinda thing, and it's actually enjoyable when you put the time in *coughcoughhackhacksneeze* and earn money to spend on nice armor and stuff, just to make the n00bs in world 115 feel like crap.
It takes a special kind of person to insult you to your face like that, at least I have broad shoulders.
Also considering starting a vlog, rather than your basic boring blog, but whatever, right? I think I'll stick to this for now, considering I have *one* frequent reader, and she's my best friend, so y'know? Why try for Youtube fame just yet. Maybe tomorrow.
Anyhow, I think I'll go sneak off and play something slightly entertaining. Like RISK or Halo, just because I'm craving something Nostalgic, and my bot is busy fishing on Runescape for me.

Peace

Nothing to Dooooo...

Spent the majority of my day so far in bed. The upside of having a TV and Xbox within arms reach, as well as Internet connection and a Laptop. And Cookies. Mmm... Cookies...
Anyhow, I haven't tried anything really new lately, but I'm planning on heading downtown tomorrow to grab some Microsoft points for the new Dragon Age DLC. But, that may not happen, I dunno. Haven't looked into it too much, so I don't know what to expect, other than running around as a female bard with a nearly indistinguishable voice because of her silly accent, hopefully to get an awesome weapon (like Blightblood from The Darkspawn Chronicles) or just to get drug around by a rope and find out that I did all that for nothing.
Considered playing some Halo 3 Multiplayer today, but haven't gotten around to it, yet. Also, my iPhone is a little beyond my reach at this moment, and I really don't feel like getting out of bed to grab it from the charge stand... yet.
Found an obscure little Flash Game today called Doodle God, and it's kinda an interesting premise. A series of games (presumably by the hinting at the end) where the first one is entirely based on taking one element, combing it with another, and getting a whole new element. There's 115 (including the starting 4) elements to find, all categorized into 16 groups. I, being my lazy self, found a walkthrough and used that, while poking my friend (over Facebook) in the right direction on getting her hopelessly lost in the babble of Elements she'd already found.
Yes, I'm that kind of friend.
Had the writing bug, today, but I've been ignoring it, trying to avoid listening to my inner self over the summer, and keeping my traditional habits of doing NOTHING school related (excluding while working) in my free time. Hard to do sometimes, seeing as reading and writing is everywhere.
Wait, blogging is kinda reading and writing too... Frick, I like blogging now...
Anyhow, that's all for today, guys.

Peace

Yes yes, it's been a while.

So it's been a while since I posted, I know, I know. But anyhow, I haven't been playing anything too much lately. Finished Dragon Age, and now I need to get through Awakening, but I'm too lazy to restart on armor, because everytime I import my character, it turns out that she's lost her Blood Dragon armor, which makes me angry. Otherwise, Alan Wake is still Spentacular, (Yes, splentacular. A mix of Splendid and Spectacular) and still waiting for the DLC to become available. Started playing The Sims 3 again, mainly out of boredom, but my guy is unemployed independently wealthy owner of every major building in town, and he doesn't bother collecting money from them, except when he's getting a little low, which has yet to happen despite his party life (Who needs sleep when you can party 24/7 and make the town economy go down because everyone locally got fired from their job for not showing up.)
Otherwise, nothing really to look forward to this summer, other than working a job and a quarter (More details later... maybe.) and Metroid Other M.
That's all for now, nothing spectacular in my life, my ex gf is still miserable (Fantabulous) and I'm still single (Eh...)

Peace!

Starting up and Boredom today

Today was easily the boringest day I have had in a long time. Considering I still have one exam, my best friend is moving to the province over on Sunday for College, my 360 is at his house, both my Wii controllers are broken, my DSiXL is too far away for me to bother walking and grabbing (I've climbed the stairs to the basement 4 times in the last 20 minutes, bugger off.)
So lately, I've been picking up games that I got distracted away from, and trying them out again. Most recently, was Red Steel on the Wii. That's how my controllers are broken. It doesn't help that my brother has the obsessive compulsive habit to chew the rubber tips off of EVERY analog stick on EVER video game console I own. But still, no idea what made me think to pick it up again, it's easily one of the WORST FPS games I've ever played. Whatever made people think the Wii was going to be the new generation of FPS games, makes them morons.
Another one I picked up recently was Dragon Age: Origins, and I have no idea what made me put it down in the first place. I'm loving it! I've still got the twitch. Went out and bought a points card to pick up the DLC for it, with the exception of Awakening, which I'm getting the disc for once I finally kill the Archdemon, and have money. That's kinda key here, y'know?
Anyhow, my Female Dalish Bard Duelist Rogue is probably the best combination I could've picked for me. I hated Warriors, the Dwarves are taller than I am in real life, I'm still having nightmares about kidnapped elves and rape since playing through the City Elves story, Mages are hard, and the human story sucks. The Dalish story is about all that's good.
But anyhow, I plan to update this periodically, and between 2011 and 2013, never at all, except for the occasional, "Still gone... Hope you're having fun with your game releases TT_TT" post.
But today I decided to bake cookies. They're crisp and a little gross. Here's a picture, courtesy of my cellyphone and Facebook:
So anyhow, how about E3? I'm looking forward until April 2011. Than I get no releases. Depressing, I know. Especially looking forward to Goldeneye 007, actually, I'm gonna go locate my N64 and play Goldeneye now.
That's what I said.
